If we have ever sat down together and brainstormed ideas to grow your business we would have talked about creating strategic alliances as a way to increase the visibility of your business.
At YMT, Caroline and I believe in taking our own advice and recently finalized a strategic partnership with ECDI to become their outsourced training department. So, what does this mean for you? It means together YMT and ECDI will provide a complete package of support and assistance focused on you.
As small business owners one of our challenges is securing funding to start or grow our business. But, an equally important challenge is learning and growing as a business owner. It is important as the owner of your business to invest the time and resources to learn and grow. This partnership will mean ECDI and YMT will be able to support, train, and educate small business clients pre-and post loan, thereby increasing the success rate of business ownership in Columbus, OH.
Who is ECDI? ECDI is a non-profit economic development organization located in Columbus, OH dedicated to supporting and funding small business ventures through their IDA and Micro-lending programs. ECDI is currently the only SBA approved micro-lender in Columbus, OH and provides micro-loans between $500 to $100,000. What is a strategic partnership? It is an alliance between two organizations formalized by a contract which benefits both organizations. ECDI will continue doing what they do best, fund small businesses. YMT will use their knowledge and experience as small business owners to develop and implement a training program. The combination of funding and education will create a stronger more effective community of business owners.
Why training matters. Training gives you, as a business owner, the tools to develop and manage your business through day-to-day activities, as well as the knowledge to look at and achieve the big picture. So, we are creating training programs with you in mind. Let us know what you would like to learn. In the meantime, keep an eye out for our upcoming training programs. We are excited with this partnership and the opportunity to increase our education programs and support for small business in Ohio.
